 William Hare, embarked on a killing spree that robbed 16 people of

 their lives.  In a chilling twist, the cold-blooded killers disposed of

 their victims by selling them to medical science.  Join us to hear

their spine chilling true story...

  • Learn about 'Graverobbers' with a visit to Greyfriars Kirkyard and how Burke and Hare beat these gangs to provide the freshest corpses for the Medical School.
  • Find out how Burke and Hare were finally caught.
  • Hear about the gripping trial and how one of the men were the focus of Scotlands largest attended execution.

Winter: Telephone bookings ONLY.

Summer: Tours leave nightly at 7pm and 9pm

 

Meeting point: High Court on Edinburgh's Royal Mile (opposite St

 Giles Cathedral).

 

Prices: £8 Adults, £7 Concessions, £5 Children

Note:  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Sturdy footwear

 is recommended.  This tour includes 2 small hills and a number of stairs.
